Major Buff Guide by Type / Class

One of the biggest changes to how we WoW post 401 is how we buff. With so many changes to abilities, mechanics, UI's, and graphics we tend to overlook the simplest of modifications. Similar to the changes to dispel mechanics I covered the other day, another major revision to an important system is the buff map. It seems that Blizzard is still striving for the goal of "bring the player, not the class". With that effort they have streamlined some buffs and included more classes on the list to give buffs. Below I'll list the major types of buffs and who can provide them. I'll also provide a separate class list as well.

Stamina

• Priest - PW: Fortitude
• Warrior - Commanding Shout
• Hunter - Qiraji Fortitude (Silithid)
• Warlock - Blood Pact (Imp)

Agility, Strength, Stamina, Intellect, Magic Resistance

• Druid - Mark of the Wild
• Paladin - Blessing of Kings

Strength + Agility

There you have it, the revised buff system post-401. I just wanted to note that I will be adding (and modifying) this list as needed between now and level 85. There are some other buffs I probably should add (boomkin aura is an example) and I'll get to those. My goal was to hit those major buffs and help people get a bit more comfortable with them. I'm still hoping the DBM developers will work in a "Pally Power" type buff assignment protocol to the addon. It seems that would be more effective than having every single class (save for rogues) download an additional addon just to manage buffs. If I knew anything about programming I would give it a shot....
