BRB Grandma On Fire

As many of you know, I've been on a bit of a hunter hiatus recently. The guild I raid with was in dire need of skilled healers so I swapped to my shaman for this expansion. Last night I got a chance to DPS the last two bosses in Heroic Naxxaramas and I must say, I've missed the way of the hunter. The three classes I play at an end game level are Hunter, Shaman, and Druid. All three are very rich in lore, and it's something I take seriously. I'm not on an RP server but in my opinion, until you can understand the lore behind your race or class, you will not be as successful as those who do. I feel a very inner connection to my toons, almost like a part of me reaches out to them; they become enriched by me and vice verse. Surely this is nothing more than mental encouragement to play my best but regardless it still works. To me, playing a hunter is not about spamming macro or pressing buttons, it's about embracing the whole idea of what a hunter is. When my pet dies, I do everything I can to get him back up fast; just as a real hunter would show concern for his companion. The result is improved DPS. Little situations like this are the reason I've been so successful as a hunter over the years. It also adds to the overall enjoyment of the game, and that is paramount as well.
